Dee Dee Dee Song

Tuesday, August 29th, 2006

Carlos Mencia is pretty funny, but this song might even beat the “wetback Englsih” or “weback sign” skits. It also is very true.

Night Read

Thursday, August 24th, 2006

Unlike last semester, I only have to one book to read this semester. So, I have an awesome book that I have chosen as a night read. I’ve read the first three chapters and I’ve already learned so much. I’m to tired to make a long post about it, so if you would like check out A People’s History of the United States. It tells the history of this country through the view of the minority, the working class and women. It will turn upside down everything you ever “thought” you knew about U.S. history.

Read it!

“They do not bear arms, and do not know them, for I showed them a sword, they took it by the edge and cut themselves out of ignorance. They have no iron. Their spears are made of cane…. They would make fine servants…. With fifty men we could subjugate them all and make them do whatever we want.”
-Christopher Columbus

When Columbus first arrived in the Bahamas, Cuba and Hispaniola in 1492, where 3 million Tainos lived, he called them Indians, because he thought he was in India. Just over 50 years later not one Taino was left. This is the man we celebrate and so proudly teach about.

Podcast!!!

Sunday, August 20th, 2006

Finally I recorded a podcast I feel I can share with everyone. I think I am going to to a podcast by myslef, probably weekly, and later on see if I can work with one or two other friends to make something comedic. The title of my new show for right now is “The Axel Chacon Show”. I know not very original but thats all I could think of thus far. Matches the website I guess.

Republican Senator is a Bigot! What a shock…

Sunday, August 20th, 2006

Republican politicians keep proving themselves as ignorant and out of touch. Here is Sen. George Allen calling out the only non-white in a crowd full of Republicans, calls him macaca (which refers to a species of monkeys) and welcomed him to Virginia. Oh wait Senator, but he is from Virginia you dumb ass! That is sad folks. This guy is an Senator and clearly had racist tendencies, if not just being a flat out racist. The Republicans should not support this man. If they do it will only keep porving their terrible character. I am sure like always no one will care.

Please watch the video of this incident and tell the RNC to withdraw their support from this bigot senator, Goerge Allen!

Rumsfeld=Bullshit

Saturday, August 19th, 2006

This fucking jerkoff is living in a bubble or just his brainless head so far up his ass he can’t remember what he has or hasn’t said. I think he is just a liar! It shows the disgusting character of this administration. No wonder they can’t get their approval ratings past 40%. How pathetic.

Claims he never said the threat from Iraq was not imminent (1:16)

Donald Rumsfeld caught lying by 27 year CIA veteran (1:13)

The full Version of the Daily Show segment on Rumsfeld (6:09)

It goes on to make fun of a pretty “fair and balanced” show Fox News produced on Rumsfeld. They’re fucking jerkoffs too. If you still believe that they are the only fair news channel and call they rest or the news organizations the “liberal media” than you should look up the word, propaganda. Short clip at the end of Bush joking about not finding WMDs. Watch for Lieberman to be laughing as well; damn trator to his party. It’s really fucked up if you think of all the people that have died because of that one lie. God impeach these assholes.

“Remember, remember, the 5th of November”

Friday, August 18th, 2006

This summer I watched a few movies. Here are some of them:

Syriana

A political thriller starting George Clooney as a veteran C.I.A. agent. This film interweaves the complex bond that religion, politics, business and normal lives share with the world’s most controversial recourse, oil. I really enjoyed the film.

An Inconvenient Truth

In this film former presidential candidate, Al Gore, shows optimism for the future. In a time when war and natural disaster are ravaging our planet he explains how our misuse of resources and apathy of the consequences is causing the destruction of this planet with global warming. Explaining if we all work together he thinks we can reduce the damage to our precious planet. I think we are doomed; either way it is an interesting and eye opening watch. Highly recommend this one if you still don’t understand global warming.

Lady in the Water

I would rather take it from behind.

V for Vendetta

I know it’s been out for a while but this movie is awesome. One of the best movies based on a comic I have seen so far. Probably better than both of the Spiderman movies and maybe on par with the X-Men films. The plot is based on a civil-right free, future England where a hero disguised as Guy Fawkes emerges to start a revolution. “Remember, remember, the 5th of November”

Grandma’s Boy

X-Box gamer, video game developer and avid pot user, Alex, loses his apartment and has to move in with his grandma and two old roommates. One of the funniest movies from beginning to end I have seen in a really long time.

Most are out on video.

WSU, Lebanon and Ned Lamont

Tuesday, August 15th, 2006

I haven’t posted in a while because I have been a little busy. I started my job again and it already looks like it will be another challenging but great year. I have been frustrated with WSU lately, because it seems that the advisors and all the dumb fucks they hire aren’t able to do something as simple as making sure I get the student loans I was awarded. Then they tell me that I got the amount of transfer hours from Butler wrong, but they were the ones who gave me the actual number. Anyway I am really pissed off with that school, but I guess that’s what college is all about.

I am also glad that the bombing in Lebanon has ended. Israel was causing so much damage on the infrastructure (at least $2.5 billions worth), let alone all the lives that were ended (around 1,110 dead and 3,700 wounded, most of whom were civilians). That’s a lot of damage in a few weeks for that small of a country. Like always Lebanon will rise up and become an amazing country.

Ned Lamont beat Lieberman in Connecticut’s Democratic primary and I think it was a good thing. I don’t care that Lieberman served that state so well for many years. He is obviously not doing it so well now or he would have won the primary. It is time that we the people start showing incumbents they can never start feeling comfortable. They have to keep proving themselves to us or get voted out.
