Show Notes:

On today’s episode I cover soundtracks that I have recently enjoyed, including: Amores Perros, City of God and Motorcycle Diaries soundtracks. I introduce a new segment “Only In America” talking about the term food-fight. I also begin to teach the listeners Spanish in this show. Thank you for listening.

Daily Kos: Who Supports The Troops? Democrats, As It Turns Out…

Tuesday, October 24th, 2006

It’s always been funny, and at the same time sad, when the GOP tries to use the religion card, but you know it’s all bullshit. Another bad one is the whole “support the troops” crap. You know those old, rich, white m* f*’s don’t really care. Finally America is starting to see through all the shit. Finally some evidence to prove what I have always said. The Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America conducted a study of votes affecting American troops and veterans. The results shouldn’t, but may surprise you.

Rumsfeld involved in selling nuclear reactors to N. Korea

Monday, October 9th, 2006

The two faces of Rumsfeld

2000: director of a company which wins a $200m contract to sell nuclear reactors to North Korea
2002: declares North Korea a terrorist state, part of the axis of evil and a target for regime change

Wow, come on how much more evidence does one need to realize that these guys arn’t in power to keep us safe from terror, but rather to make more money for themselves and their old, white, rich friends? I found this article on digg and couldn’t believe it. Read it for yourself, it’s unbelievable. At least Clinton was looking for some diplomatic way to solve the N. Korean problem.

Thanks Bush!

Just a quick comment about North Korea and the mess that I’m sure everyone knows about.

Nuclear proliferation, you dumb ass I know these are big words, but come on you’re the president, a dead dog could pronounce those two words better. Anyway, if we want to stop the spread of nuclear weapons why not start with dismantling our 10,000 strong stockpile? And why are we still trying to develop new types of nukes? Don’t believe me here are a few articles for you to read:

US plans for mini-nuke arsenal revealed

Bush pushes for next generation of nukes

Oh no, North Korea probably tested one bomb. Oh my god we are doomed! Shit… did you know we have tested over 900 of them.

Look I am not saying this North Korea thing is not bad. I completely agree it is. Nukes are scary as hell and in the hands of loonies it’s even worse. I know there are more people in control, other than Bush, over our nuclear arsenal, or else that shit would be flying all over the place. One headed my way I’m sure. The issue here is that if Bush would have used diplomacy we wouldn’t have to be dealing with this. We have diplomats to deal with our enemies, just really think about it for a minute, that is the fundamental reason diplomats should exist. They are there to help deal with nations that are hard or impossible to deal with, yet this administration seems to think the opposite. Do you need diplomacy to get along with your friends? No, but maybe with people you don’t get along with right…? Yeah, maybe.

“Kill off all our enemies and use our diplomats to convince our allies they aren’t next.” That is the motto of this party when it comes to diplomacy. Oh yeah and also e-mail underage boys about getting them drunk and taking advantage of them.

Hell yeah you go neocons!
